Thank You Card | Sizzix 49 & Market

The new 49 and Market stamps and dies designed by Katie Pertiet for Sizzix are now available and I have had a wonderful time creating with them. I was immediately drawn to the Fine Stems stamps and dies and couldn't wait to use them.

Thank You Card by Juliana Michaels featuring the Fine Stems and Painterly Palette Stamps and Dies 49 & Market for Sizzix

THANK YOU CARD

I began by stamping some of the Fine Stems along the right hand and bottom edge of a piece of white cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped the image and the restamped it using the leftover ink to get a second image that was slightly lighter. This is often referred to as Second Generation Stamping. The colors I used are: Dusty Concord, Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage and Weathered Wood.

Next I took 5 pieces of white cardstock and ink blended each piece with one of the Distress Oxide colors that I used for the stamping.  I then used the Fine Stems die set to cut out several of the stems from the various pieces of inked paper.

For the sentiment strip, I stamped the Painted Palettes image onto white cardstock. I then applied a different color of ink to each pallette and stamped it, being careful to wipe off any excess ink. I repeated this for each color. I then took one of the sentiments from the set and stamped it in one of the blocks. To finish it off, I cut the strip and inked the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Oxide Ink.

Before I began adhering the die cuts and stamped image, I ink the edges of the background paper with Scorched Timber Distress Oxide Ink. I then layered this onto a piece of white cardstock.

To finish off the card, I adhered the die cuts and then layered the sentiment strip using some double sided foam adhesive for some dimension.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed seeing how this Thank You Card came together using the Fine Stems and Painterly Palette Stamps and Dies 49 & Market for Sizzix.
