It has been ages since I did a Workspace Wednesday post. But, I recently acquired a couple of new products that are changing the way I work in my craft room and I wanted to share about them with you.
SELF-HEALING WORKSPACE MAT
First up is the new Self-Healing Workspace Mat. While I love my Tim Holtz Glass Media Mat, when I'm filming my videos, I can't use it because of the glare from my lights. This new mat from Scrapbook.com is absolutely perfect for filming my videos, plus it has some great features that make it a wonderful mat to work on when I'm creating.
It is made of recycled materials, which are a self-healing cutting material. This means you can use your craft knives and other sharp tools on it without damaging it. The self-healing property is a wonderful feature to have for nearly every crafting project. It measures 23" x 17" which is a great size for protecting your work surface.
My favorite part however, is that it has marked white grids in a 1 inch system. Many of the mats out there have the metric system on them as well, but I don't use that measuring system very often, so I frequently get frustrated trying to measure something on my mat and I just want to know the inches.
8.5 X 11 STACKABLE PAPER TRAYS
The next new item are these 8.5 x 11 Stackable Paper Trays. They are sold in packs of two and each tray measures 9 x 11.5 inches and is approximately 1.46 inches tall. Each tray holds approximately 100 pieces of paper per tray, depending on the thickness of your paper.
I'm using them to store and organize my Tim Holtz Distress Papers. Here I'm using them to store my Distress Watercolor, Distress Heavystock, Mixed Media Heavystock and Kraft Heavystock. They come in both white and clear, so you have options to choose from when selecting which one might fit your craft room style.
If 8.5 x 11 is not your preferred paper size, these trays are also available in a 12x12 size.
So, do either of these products interest you? Are they something you would like to have in your craft room? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them and if you have any questions, just ask.
