Happy World Cardmaking Day Friends! I hope you are finding a way to celebrate this special day. Whether you're creating cards, attending a crop or class, sending cards to family and friends or shopping for cardmaking supplies, you have loads of options for celebrating this special day. I'm starting off the day by sharing this Hello Beautiful Card with you today and later this afternoon I'll be crafty chatting with my bestie! Along with the card I'm also sharing a fun way to store and organize your alphabet dies, so keep reading to check out all the details.
I began this card by creating the background. I stamped the butterfly from the Tim Holtz Specimen Stamp Set onto watercolor paper using Vintage Photo Distress Ink. After stamping the image, I spritzed it with my Distress Sprayer and then dried it with my heat gun. I then water colored the image using Distress Oxide Ink in Crackling Campfire. To do this, I stamped the ink pad onto my craft mat and used a water brush to apply the ink. Once the ink was dry, I added a few splatters of ink in Crackling Campfire, Worn Lipstick and Wild Honey.
For the stenciling, I used the Little Boxes stencil from Scrapbook.com. I inked through it using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and a ink blending tool. I then inked the edges of the watercolor paper with more Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
The sentiment was created with my new favorite dies...the Bold Basic Alphabet Dies from Scrapbook.com. I die cut the letters from watercolor paper. I then stamped them with the script stamp from the Tim Holtz Ledger Script Stamp Set using Vintage Photo Archival Ink. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and adhered them to the card front using Scrapbook.com Double Sided Foam Adhesive. To finish off the sentiment, I stamped "hello beautiful" from the Scrapbook.com Wordfetti Best Day Ever Stamp Set using Vintage Photo Archival Ink.
As I mentioned, here's a great way to store your alphabet dies. Simply place them inside one of the new Small Storage Envelopes from Scrapbook.com. I've found these to be the perfect size for their new alphabet dies, however depending on the shape some of the sets need 2 envelopes. I'm such a sucker for organizing things though, so I know I'll be adding a few more packs of these to improve my storage methods.
Thanks so much for stopping by today to check out my Hello Beautiful Card and once again Happy World Cardmaking Day! I hope you find a way to celebrate!

Splendidly lovely design. I'm more than a wee bit smitten with both the earthy autumnal hues and the stunning text print sentiment (swoon!).
