Watercolored Flower Birthday Card

Hello all and Happy Monday! Did you do anything crafty this past weekend? I actually worked on some Mother's Day cards. I will be sharing a Mother's Day Card with DecoFoil on the Therm O Web blog later this week and I will be posting the other one here this week. I hope you'll stop by to check them out!

Watercolor Flower Birthday Card by Juliana Michaels featuring Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and CC Designs Himalayan Poppy Stamp

Last weekend I also did a little card crafting and created this Watercolored Flower Birthday Card for my mother in law who just turned 89! She loved the card just as much as I loved creating it for her. I used my new favorite Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, Distress Ink and a stamp from CC Designs called Himalayan Poppy. For a detailed list of the supplies I used, please see the supply list below.

I stamped the image with Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I then colored in the flower using the Zig Clean Color.  After I was finsihed with the coloring, I used a sponge dauber to apply some Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers around the outside edge of the card. I also distressed it using the back side of my X-acto knife and added some faux stitching using a paper piercer.

The final touch was the Happy wood veneer from Jillibean Soup Today Wood Veneer Words.

I'm entering this into the

  3. Fantastic water-colored birthday card. Looking very creative. My mom’s birthday is coming and have planned a DIY party at one of garden venues. Looking for DIY décor ideas as don’t have a huge budget for the party.
