Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow on Groundhog Day, so I've decided to celebrate the arrival of an early spring. With joyous thoughts of warmer weather in mind, I'm sharing a new card I created that has a spring like feel. To create my card, I used the Lovely Spring stamp set and Lovely Day coordinating die set from Simon Says Stamp.
I created a simple watercolored background for the card from using a Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Pickled Raspberry. Next, I stamped the images onto the die cuts and adhered them to my card.
To help with the placement of the sentiment I used my new favorite stamping tool - my MISTI! This tool is a game changer when it comes to stamping. It gives you consistent and precise stamping every time using unmounted clear and rubber stamps. MISTI stands for Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented and I have to agree, but don't just take my word for it. This tool was the Paper Craft Winner of the Hot Product Award at CHA in January. How awesome is that?!
Another wonderful tip I want to share with you is a recent discovery of mine. I have found my new favorite adhesive for sequins...Therm O Web Zots Bling. They are the perfect size for adhering sequins!
Before I leave you today, I want to announce the winner of my Scrapping Your Stash Blog Hop giveaway. The winner is Number 1! After a little sleuthing, I think I have determined this to be Yvette Weber. Congratulations Yvette!!! I'll be contacting you soon to get your address.
I also want to say thank you to everyone who visited and for all the sweet comments you left me. They truly make my heart happy!
