Big Picture Classes | Stretch Your Cuts

Happy Monday my scrappy friends! I have some great news to share with you today. My first ever, online scrapbook class will be live today on the Big Picture Classes website. The class is called Stretch Your Cuts and it is all about getting the most out of your electronic die cut machine. In each lesson, you’ll discover various techniques for transforming cut files and using different tools to add unique elements to your scrapbook layouts.

Hello SRM Stickers Clear Stamps

Dotted Frame | Downloadable Cut File

Hello my scrappy and crafty friends and thanks so much for visiting! Today, I'm sharing a new layout I recently created for the Scrapbook Generation Create Magazine July Issue. This layout is part of the monthly Color Challenge and as you can tell it was a red, white and blue color challenge. I didn't have a ton of patterned papers in my stash that fit the color challenge, but I did have a great assortment of patterned cardstock that worked perfectly. I went with a rather clean and simple design and mostly embellished my design with a combination of pre-cut die cuts, punches, metal dies and a digital cut file created by yours truly.

Sew Sweet Gift Box | Create Magazine

Hello and Happy Monday! I don't know about your weekend, but mine flew by! Nothing too exciting, but it was full of time spent together with Danny and Lincoln. Today, I'm sharing a gift box that I created for the July issue of Scrapbook Generation's Create Magazine.

Each month they share a fantastic card sketch and challenge some of their designers to create something other than a card with the sketch. I was one of those designers for this issue and I inspired to create a gift box!

For the gift box itself, I used an A2 Card Box from SRM Stickers. I then covered the front and back panels with pieces of patterned paper from the Jillibean Soup Sew Sweet Sunshine Soup collection. (Say that 5 times fast!)

To further embellish the box, I added some Jillibean Soup Sew Sweet Pea Pod die cuts, wood veneer and Sugar Picks along with some SRM Sticker Stitches and a SRM Stickers Sentiment. The final touch was hand tied burlap bow!

Happiness Is A New Puppy | Jillibean Soup Sew Sweet

Happiness is a new puppy! Don't you agree? It's still so hard to believe that he was ever this little now that he's a 75 lb puppy! But he's still as sweet as ever!

The layout that I'm sharing today was created using the Jillibean Soup Sew Sweet Sunshine Soup. This collection will always hold a special place in my heart because it is the first collection that I helped create and design working as a Graphic Artist for Jillibean Soup.

I created the background using a stencil, spray ink and some Jillibean Soup Stamps.

I then layered pieces of the Sew Sweet Patterned Paper, Pea Pod Parts, Mini Placemats and Stickers to decorate my layout.

I also added a Wire Word and glued it in place using Glossy Accents.

I'm A Teacher At Big Picture Classes

Happy Monday my scrappy friends! As you may have noticed, I've not been blogging too much lately. Well, I have a very good reason for that. I've been crazy busy working on a special project that's been taking up all of my spare scrappy time and I can finally share a little bit about it. (Insert happy dance!) I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be teaching a class for Big Picture Classes that will go live in September!
