You may or may not know this, but I love to save my scraps. You just never know when they might come in handy. Most recently, I saved some scraps that were the negative pieces from a digital cut file that I had cut. I liked the left over shapes (they were actually just simple circles) so I put them to the side thinking that they might come in handy for another project. I then started working on a new scrapbook page - Yay You Did It - for Elle's Studio. As I was creating and pulling in the embellishments, I remembered the left over circles. The blue circles seemed perfect for adding a touch more color and design to my layout.
The circles were left over from my Because I Love You layout, that I recently shared for Elle's Studio September Kit Reveal.
As you can see, the paper has a nice pattern on both sides which is why it was impossible for me to throw away the scraps!
This layout is about the 5k that I ran in July. I started running this spring to train for it and I've been able to keep up the running pretty regularly so far. It really makes me feel better and has helped me get back into a regular exercise routine again.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Do you ever keep your scraps and use them on another project?
Great use of both sides ! Keep running...
ReplyDeleteGood on you! I keep my scraps for a while...then I tend to go through them & have a big toss! These look perfect on your running page....& good on you for doing the exercise thing, too.....I'm slack. My catch cry since turning 40 is 'I'm saving my body up for when I get old. If I use it too much it will get worn out.....".....works for me!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous! i loveeeeeeeee the colors and the circles!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome layout Juliana!! Love the way you did your photos and the pop of Blue from the leftover circles, looks great against the Yellow background!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable pages, both of them!! Yes, I always keep the scraps for other projects :) .
ReplyDeleteGood of you to run the 5 km!!! (I wish I could do it too but I think my knees are too old :) )
