When I create cards, I rarely create just one. I have a thing for scraps and I love to use them to create a second card. How about you? Do what do you use scraps for?
Creating Cards With a 6x6 Paper Pad, Paper Scraps and a Digital Cut File
Today, I'm sharing a quick tutorial on how I created two cards using 2 sheets of paper from a 6x6 paper pad, paper scraps and a digital cut file. The patterned paper is from the new BoBunny Madeleine collection. Isn't it just gorgeous?
I used my Happy Circles Card Digital Cut File to cut out the image from a piece of 6x6 paper. This cut file is sized to be cut at 3.75 x 5" so that it will fit nicely centered on a standard A2 size card (4.25 x 5.5").
You can DOWNLOAD it for FREE - HAPPY CIRCLES CARD
I placed the paper on my cutting mat in the upper right hand corner of the mat. I then positioned the cut file image to cut in the middle of the paper. This allowed me to easily trim the scraps to create my second card.
Here is a look at my first card using the cut file. I centered the cut image in the middle of the A2 size card.
The butterflies are punched from the scrap cardstock and then misted with BoBunny Gold Glimmer Spray. The border is punched from the second sheet of 6x6 paper.
After I finished my first card, I used the scraps to create my second card. I again punched butterflies from scrap cardstock and added another punched border strip to the edge of the card.

Wonderful cards, Juliana. I also love using both parts of the cut. A bit of planning stretches the paper a long way.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the free cutting file. I hope I can try it out on the weekend.
