Happy Spring everyone! Even though spring has officially arrived, it's still cold here and it's hard to feel like spring has arrived. To help me get in the mood, I created this spring filled scrapbook page to share with you. It showcases a couple of photos from my yard last spring. Just looking at it, gets me excited about warmer weather and my garden in full bloom.
INSPIRATION | CREATIVE SCRAPPERS SKETCH 263
It has been a long time since I've had the time to play along with one of the sketches from Creative Scrappers. I have always been inspired by Kristine Davidson's sketches and her amazing Design Team. I recently created a scrapbook page using Creative Scrappers Sketch 263 as my inspiration.
Instead of using a 6x12 photo, as indicated in the sketch, I filled the space with two 3.5 x 5" photos and my title, which is a die cut from the Pebbles Garden Party Cardstock Die Cut pack.
To fill the right hand side of the page, I cut images from the Pebbles Garden Party Poppy paper. I then inked the edges and stitched around them with my sewing machine, before adhering them to the background paper. I love the quilted, hand made feel they add to the page. Next, I selected various coordinating stickers and embellishments to decorate the squares.
I really love how some of the die cuts and stickers are the same size as the images on the paper. I simply adhered them directly on top of the image using a piece of double sided foam tape for bit of added dimension and texture.
