Today I'm sharing a scrapbook page I created using Elle's Studio March Digital Cutting File. When I first saw the four leaf clovers, I fell in love. I also knew they would be perfect to use on a scrapbook page with these photos of my nieces enjoying the St. Patrick's Day Parade. I have been holding onto these photos for two years, just waiting for the right inspiration. Don't you just love when things seem to be made for each other like that?
TIPS AND TECHNIQUES | BRUSH SCRIPT TITLES AND ALTERED LETTER STICKERS
Lately, I have been intrigued by the hand lettering and brush script fonts that seem to have become so popular right now. Back in the day, I used to do a lot of calligraphy and hand lettering. When I first started scrapbooking, we didn't have all these cool letter stickers and die cutting machines to use and I used to do all of my own titles. I need to pull some of those out one of these days and share them. LOL!
Anyway, this inspired me to pull out one of my Tombow Dual Brush Pens and starting practicing on some scrap paper. Once I was happy with the look, I pulled out a piece of "good" paper and created my title. I then cut it out to create my own "die cut" title!
The small letter stickers were originally gray, but I colored them black with a marker to help them better match my layout.
I attached the title to the layout using double sided foam tape to give it more dimension.
FUN FIND | RIBBON
If you are looking for a way to add texture without bulk to your paper craft projects, then check out this awesome ribbon I used. Tracey Sabella gave me some when we got together recently to scrap and I immediately fell in love with it! It adds a subtle touch of texture without being bulky or overly obvious. After I adhered several strips to the background paper, I then sewed the four leaf clovers in place on top of them.
