This year I have decided to Document December by creating an album using the BoBunny Misc Me Elf Magic collection. I have been wanting to create an album to record our traditions and activities during the Christmas holidays that would be fun and enjoyable to look at in the years to come. I know it has become popular to create an album where you document about each day of the month or up until Christmas Day. However, I didn't feel like this style of album would work for me. I know there may be some days where I have nothing planned or nothing that I want to bother with documenting so I decided to create an album with pages for things that I know we do every year as part of our holiday traditions. Of course, I will have plenty of room to add to it if necessary or if I do want to document something on a day that was not very exciting.
I knew that having the basic album plan put together ahead of time would make it easier for me to work on this as the month progressed. I created 17 pre-planned two page spreads. Many of them were created with a specific tradition or activity in mind. To help me decide on some of my pre-planned pages, I put together a list of things that I know we do every year, as well as some activities that I know we will be doing this year:
I also added some extra pages that can be used to document whatever else I want and I still have enough supplies left over to add more pages if needed.
This spread is for our Christmas Cards and I've included one of the Christmas Cards I created recently.
Misc Me Contents: Elf Magic Journal Contents
Page Protectors: 6x8 in, 4x6 in, 3x4/4x6 in
Patterned Paper: Elf Magic, Chevron, Chorus, Fa La La La La, Flake, Stripe and Wishlist/ Elf Magic
Chipboard: Elf Magic 12 x 12 Chipboard
Jewels: Elf Magic
Stickers: Elf Magic Misc Me Sticker, Elf Magic Combo Sticker
Doilies: 6.5" Medium Doilies
With the basic album completed, I will only have to add photos, journaling and some embellishments. As we all know, the Christmas holiday season is typically a busy and hectic time, so I want this album to be an enjoyable and creative way to remember December. The amount of embellishing I do will truly depend on my available crafting time and how much effort I want to put forth. It doesn't look like much yet, but once I begin adding the photos, journaling and embellishments it will begin to transform into a something that I know I will treasure for years to come. I hope you will check back later in December, to see my completed album pages.

CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS & ACTIVITIES
- Decorating the Christmas Tree
- Decorating the house for Christmas
- Christmas Ornament 2013
- Baking cookies
- Nativity set
- Wrapping presents
- Christmas Cards
- Christmas Tree
- Opening presents
- Christmas Eve Mass
- Family Photo
- Food / Favorite Recipes
- Christmas Party (Tom)
- Visiting Family/Christmas with Family
- Playing in the Snow
I also added some extra pages that can be used to document whatever else I want and I still have enough supplies left over to add more pages if needed.
I used a mix of products from the entire Elf Magic Collection and Elf Magic Misc Me. Some of the pockets were filled with the Elf Magic Misc Me Journal Contents and others were filled using some of the12 x 12 patterned papers from the Elf Magic collection. I cut the papers to fit the various pocket sizes and then used the scraps that were left over from filling the pockets as border strips. Another tip is that I cut the tags from the Elf Magic Chevron patterned paper and used them throughout the album. Can you spot any of the tags in my pages?
