I created this card using some scraps from the Paper Bakery July Boardwalk Kit. After I had completed my regular assignments, I still had some great scraps to work with so this came together rather quickly. I made the pink stenciled background while I had my modeling paste out for another layout that I will be sharing with you later this month for Sketch Challenge #9. I loved this Chain Link stencil and it really pops on the pink cardstock. I also enjoyed mixing up two of the new stamp sets from Paper Bakery to create my sentiment!
TREND | Nautical
Enough said...nautical anything is all the rage right now and this kit is full of a fabulous range of nautical themed products. I also used a digital cut file from my Nautical By Nature set as the central design element.
TECHNIQUE | Stamping
A simple technique that I was reminded of recently is to stamp on a piece of paper and then cut it out. I can be a little timid with stamps sometimes, so this is a great way to get it "just right" before you add it to your card or layout.
