With Mother's Day just recently behind us, I thought I would scrap a photo of me and Mom. This is from her birthday in January and one of the last times I saw her before we moved. I was inspired to create this layout using the C'est La Vie collection after I took a look at all of the stickers that were included in this collection. It seemed like each sticker has a saying on it that was either something my Mom said to me or was very similar. For some of the stickers I attached them to scrap chipboard or paper and then trimmed around them. I like to do this because it lets me play around with where I want to place them before I have to commit to their location. I can then go back when I am ready and add adhesive. That is where the Xyron Mega Runner comes in handy. Just a pass of the Runner and it's ready to attach to your layout!
I also added layers of other stickers, flowers and Noteworthy!
To create the banner grouping at the top of my layout I used the Xyron Mega Runner. I cut a scrap of paper from the bar code strip.
I made a pass along it with the Mega Runner.
Then I began attaching the various banners pieces to it. Some of them are Noteworthy die cuts. The large green one is a sticker however I attached it to a scrap of paper and trimmed around it to un-stick it while I was working on my design.
This is the back side of the banner piece...
and this is how it looks from the front.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure you hop on over to Sarah's blog for more inspiration and giveaways!!! And stay tuned for another day of inspiration, hopping and prizes on Thursday May 23!!!
