Bo Bunny Field Trip | Rub Ons

Today on the Bo Bunny blog we each took a little personal field trip!  You are probably wondering what that means. Well, they wanted us to step outside our comfort zone and do something a little different!!!  I really had to think about this one. I feel like I scrap a wide variety of topics and I enjoy doing cards and OTP projects.  (Although I do need to do more "everyday" type layouts and I am working on doing this!) So I decided to go with using a Bo Bunny product that I don't use very often...their rub ons.  Don't get me wrong, Bo Bunny has awesome rub ons! They come off like butter!  I just struggle with using them because they come off like butter and stay put where ever they land!  I am more of a move it around until I am 100% sure about where it is going to stay, move it around some more and then maybe it stays put!  Rub ons are not conducive to this method!!!  That was until I saw a tip that Tara Orr shared recently on the Bo Bunny blog.

She suggested applying them to cardstock and then fussy cutting around them.  Now this sounded like a way for me to use rub ons!  And that is exactly what I did. I adhered the ones I wanted to use to white cardstock.
I then trimmed around them leaving a small white border.
I decided that I wanted the central image to have more dimension, so I cut it out.
I then adhered it to another piece of white cardstock and trimmed around it.
When I attached it to my layout, I used double sided foam tape to pop it up to give me the dimension I was looking for.
Thanks so much for stopping by and if you happened to stop by here after visiting the Bo Bunny blog please let me know!

Bella Blvd | Newsletter News

Hi all! I just wanted to share some exciting news!  I have a layout being featured in the June issue of The Bella Buzz, which is Bella Blvd's monthly newsletter! I highly recommend checking it, not only to see my layout, but for another very cool reason too! But you will have to read it to find out!!!
You can check it out and download HERE

Here is my layout! This was definitely "a pull out my stash" kind of layout and I really enjoyed making it!

So have you been playing with your stash lately? I know I have, so that I can justify buying more goodies after CHA rolls around next month!!!

This Is Love

Everyone knows I LOVE Jillibean Soup!  Well today I have a little love to share with you!  I created this layout using the June Jillibean Soup sketch created by Nicole Nowosad.  I was immediately inspired when I saw the fun flags/banners.  In fact I have another layout that I will have to share soon that I created from this inspiration.  But for today, here is what I have to share.  These photos are of my sister and my niece.  We had taken the girls to see Woody (our horse) and while A was riding my sister grabbed E and asked me to take some photos of the two of them! I love how happy they both look and I know that this truly is love between and mother and her daughter! I am just thankful that I was able to capture this moment in time!!!

The fun part (at least I think so!) is how I created my flags!  I used the cover paper that comes with the collection kits.  I cut the strips out and then trimmed them to the size I wanted!  I love being able to reduce waste and save money!!! Have you ever tried this?

By the way here is the sketch:

Thanks for your visit!  I hope you have fun playing along with the sketch as much as I did!

HAPPY HUGS!!!

Hello Sunshine

Hello Sunshine indeed!  Isn't this new collection from Bo Bunny adorable?!  I love yellow and so this collection has made my heart happy from the moment I saw it.  I also knew that I HAD to scrap these photos of my niece twirling around like a little fairy princess in my front yard.  She had such a great time twirling and running around because my yard was covered with pink petals that had fallen off my gorgeous tulip magnolia.  She thought she was in fairy princess land!!!  And the Wonder Woman belt completed the outfit don't you think?!!!

The funny thing about this layout is that after I did it, I did not like it.  Have you ever had that happen to you?  I can't remember the last time that I disliked a layout enough to want to re-do it.  But I felt that way about this one.  My DH thought I was silly for wanting to do it over. He thought is was fine just the way it was.  But I just had to fix it!!!

And so I did!  This is the final version.  I used some of the same things from the first layout, but I went a totally different direction with the colors.  Isn't it amazing how different a layout can look using the same photos?!

If you want to see more tips on how I created my layout or other projects using this collection, check out the Bo Bunny blog today and tomorrow!
So which one do you like the best?  I would love to know!!!

Bo Bunny Chipboard

What does chipboard & Bo Bunny have in common?  In my opinion they make a fabulous combination!!!  If you take some chipboard and cover it with gorgeous images that coordinate perfectly with the Bo Bunny collections you have the perfect embellishment!  That is exactly what I did on a recent Bo Bunny layout I created using the new Serenity collection and it's corresponding 12 x 12 chipboard embellishments.  Some time ago, my sister gave me this photo of the 2 of us from about a year ago at a family reunion.  I have been holding on to it waiting for the "perfect" papers and when I saw this collection I knew that I had found the right match.  Everything on the layout is from the Serenity collection except the letter stickers which are from the Etc. collection.

A fun tip about this layout is that I cut the large flower image and placed part of it on one side of my photo and then placed the other piece on the other side.

Here is the piece on the left hand side of the photo.

I know this is a short one today, but I appreciate your visits and comments so much!

Sunshine Scrapping!!!

I have been playing along with the Creative Scrappers Sunshine Crop this weekend!  I also finished up a Cricut assignment too!  I have been busy little bee!!!
This first LO is the one I did for the early bird sketch. I was too late to play along, but I was inspired by the sketch and played along on my own.

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee, Echo Park
Stickers: Authentique
Die Cuts: Cricut/Garden Soup (Hexagons and Bee); Authentique (phrases)

This my LO for Sketch #1. Kristine had suggested using some Washi Tape or scraps for this sketch. I own one roll of tape and I really wanted to use these papers so here is what I came up with.  The larger piece of tape is actually 2 pieces over top a strip of the red polka dot paper. I like how it muted the color and gives it a totally new look.

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Bella Blvd
Die Cuts: Jillibean Soup
Letter Stickers: Bella Blvd
Phrase Stickers: Jillibean Soup and Bella Blvd
Wooden Banner: My Minds Eye
Tape: Tim Holtz

Lastly, here is my LO for Sketch #2. During my scrapping last nigh and this morning, I have been in the mood to really use my stash...the things I have bought because I just HAD to HAVE them!  KWIM?!  This one is a mix of tons of My Minds Eye!  I love using the bottom strip on their papers too. You know the one that shows the pattern on the other side.  I used 2 of them on this layout.  Can you find them?

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: My Minds Eye
Brads, Chipboard Stickers: My Minds Eye
Letter Stickers: American Crafts

Here are the sketches I played along with!

I hope you are having a fantastic weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!
