Sketches are a great starting point for my projects. I'm not sure what I'd do without them anymore - it's much faster for me to use an existing design, and then fun to see how I can make my own version.

I love to use sketches to get my mind working on a good layout. Before I started using sketches, I would waste too much time just trying to get started on a layout.
ReplyDeleteI love sketches because choosing where to start takes the longest time. With a sketch I just start with the layers and go from there. The actual finished layout often doesn't resemble the sketch unless you look closely. That is the best part about using a sketch, it doesn't have to end the same.

ReplyDeleteI started scrapbooking just around two years ago... and those first layouts were based on B Fleck's sketches, so I tend to gravitate to sketches when I just can't come up with something or I need to come up with something quick!
