Congrats Marti!!!! Send me your email, so I can get your address!
My birthday was a really great day! I spent it with my DH and parents starting off going to church and then we took a picnic and went to a local winery called Crown Valley Winery! They have a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon - "This Cabernet is very fruity and has soft, silky tannins. The nose starts with red fruits and strawberry jam. Very delicate spices, with a hint of mocha and vanilla." I couldn't agree more with this description! My DH gave me an awesome cook book by Cook's Illustrated called the "America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook"! My mom has it and there has not been a recipe in there that she has tried that was not just absolutely amazing!!! I can not wait to start using it! We ended the day with dinner at my mom's! All in all it was a very relaxing and peaceful day!
I have one scrappy project I want to share with you...
I created this for several challenges that inspired me this month.
1. I used the May sketch #2 at Magisitical Memories.
2. I played along with the May Recipe Challenge at A Cherry On Top.
3. I used this fun mixed media technique... Release the Inner Renoir at The Next Step.
4. I was inspired to use the word/number "TWO" in my title from OLW. (although I was too late to play along there!)
That's quite a few places to get inspiration and I still can't believe I was able to combine so many into one LO!
close up detail of my take on the Next Step Challenge to use paint and stamps!
The stamped image before I added the paint!
I also want to remind you that Mix It Up will have a new challenge posted this Wednesday and that this month's sponsor is Riff Raff Designs! So make sure you play along for your chance to win an awesome prize package from them!
I want to thank everyone who stopped by and helped me celebrate my birthday! We will have to do something fun like this again sometime!!!

What a cool LO! I love your style. I also love how you used that stamp. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteYour take on the technique is so clever, Juliana! Love the pop of red and it makes me take another look at some of my stamps!
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with us! And Happy Belated Birthday! Yum! You made that wine sound fab - of course, it doesn't take much for me to love wine. ;)
I'm glad you had a wonderful birthday! And, I love that LO!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful lo!!!! Love that picture of you and your 2 loves. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday Juliana!! Sorry I missed it! I, too, was enjoying your birthday. It was absolutely gorgeous in Wisconsin and we were out watching ducklings in ponds and listening to the warblers migrating through.
ReplyDeleteI recognized your recipe use right away - great LO. I just finished up my ACOT recipe last night, but not sure if it will just become another challenge LO instead.
Juliana, Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteI love your page and I have to try this with my stamps. Thanks of rplaying with us at The Next Step!Gayle
