First up the blog hop...
Juliana Michaels (you are here!)
Remember to leave a comment at each blog along the way :)
Now, I want to share what I created for the blog hop. This is the first layout I have created using a kit from The Paper Bakery and it was created using their upcoming May Kit!!! As soon as I opened the box, I was overjoyed with all the fabulous goodies inside and I was immediately inspired to start creating!!! I used the NSD SKETCH as inspiration for my design, but instead of three images I choose to use two. Another change I made was to downsize the larger rectangles in the background. A fun little technique that I can share is that I used the Crate Paper photo overlays as design elements and additional layers behind my photos. I thought that they added a nice contrast with their black borders. Several of the design elements on the layout were cut with my Silhouette. The "today bubble" is from the from The Paper Bakery NSD free cut file, the "&" is part of the cut file that comes with the May Kit, and the "zigzags" are my own creations based off the sketch I created. Look for another post in the very near future where I will share a bit more on how I created my "today" title pieces!!!
And...here is our exclusive SKETCH created just for National Scrapbook Day ! If you want the chance to win another prize, create any kind of project inspired by the sketch by Saturday May 11 and share it with us. This gives you one week to play along. We will randomly select one project created using the sketch to win an awesome prize package!!! Be sure to link your project to link on the sidebar on The Paper Bakery blog to be entered in the drawing!
We aren't finished though! We also have a set of FREE cut files available for you to download and use as you please! These are available on The Paper Bakery Blog. Aren't they awesome?!?!
Next on the hop is amazingly talented Katrina Hunt, head on over to see what she has to share! Thanks so much for stopping by and joining us for our National Scrapbook Day Blog Hop!
