Today I am sharing the layout I created for the My Mind's Eye + Gossamer Blue Guest Designer Contest. When I saw the post for this, I knew I wanted to enter and at least throw my hat in the ring. Who wouldn't want to be a guest designer for My Mind's Eye?!?! I love My Mind's Eye products and I was so happy to add to my stash recently by getting some of the new Collectable collection! It was one of my favorites from the recent CHA releases. Of course, I had to use it for this layout and I also had to mix it up a bit and throw in something old. That is one thing that I totally love about My Mind's Eye is that all of their papers coordinate so well from collection to collection. Can you spot it the old stuff? The die cut paper is from their Stella & Rose collection. I have had it forever and just loved how this went together with the other papers. I modified it to frame my photo by cutting it down and overlapping the two sections.
As I was writing this post, the saying "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue" came to my mind. So, I decided to see if it fit my layout and sure enough it did!
OLD: As I mentioned above, I used the MME Stella & Rose Die Cut Paper.
NEW: I also mentioned that I used the new MME Collectable Collection.
BORROWED: When I designed this layout, I used the idea of overlapping and creating a border with the brads from a previous layout I created.
BLUE: I didn't really use anything blue on the layout, but it is being submitted for the My Minds Eye and Gossamer Blue Guest Designer Contest so I think that should count for something!!!
Supplies:
All Paper, Brads, and Stickers: My Mind's Eye
Doily: Bo Bunny
